How we handle your data.
Last updated: 14 May 2026.
The short version: you give us an email so we can send you the guide. We don’t sell it, we don’t share it beyond the services that make this site work, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
Who we are
The 3AM Guide is operated by Sergio Medina, based in Las Palmas, Spain. We act as the data controller for the personal data described below. To reach us about anything on this page, email hello@the3amguide.com.
What we collect
When you submit the form for the free guide, we collect:
- Your email address.
- A signup_sourcetag — which section of the page you signed up from (hero, mid-page, or footer). It helps us understand which messages work.
If you accept cookies on the banner, we also let the Meta Pixel set cookies that allow Meta to count visits and conversions. Declining the banner means no Pixel cookies are ever set.
Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived server logs that include your IP address for security and abuse prevention. We don’t ourselves store, query or combine those logs with your email.
Why we collect it
Only to deliver the free guide and send a short email sequence around it. Nothing more.
Lawful basis
Your explicit consent, given by ticking the form and confirming your email (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time — see Your rights below.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe, plus a 30-day buffer so we can demonstrate compliance if asked. After that we delete your email and tag from MailerLite. If you accepted cookies, the Pixel cookies expire on Meta’s schedule (typically up to 90 days for browser cookies).
Who else processes your data
We use a small number of services to make this work. Each acts as a data processor under contract.
- MailerLite(UAB “MailerLite”, Lithuania, EU) — stores your email and sends the messages. EU-based; subject to GDPR.
- Vercel(Vercel Inc., USA) — hosts this site. Transfers covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms, Inc. — only if you accepted the cookie banner. Transfers covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you can:
- Access the data we hold on you.
- Correct it.
- Deleteit (“right to be forgotten”).
- Export it in a portable format.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdrawyour consent at any time — this doesn’t affect lawfulness before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
To exercise any of these, write to hello@the3amguide.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Cookies and tracking
The only tracking that uses cookies is the Meta Pixel, and it’s behind an opt-in banner — Decline (or no choice) means it never loads. To change your mind later, clear this site’s site data in your browser settings; the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Changes to this notice
If we update this notice we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to subscribers when relevant.
